Parla Gorizia

Together with Oddstream festival we travelled to Gorizia, IT, to create the project Parla Gorizia as part of the in/visible cities festival.

Listen to the stories of Gorizia while taking a stroll through the city and learn about the history and the impact of the First World War. Parla Gorizia provides a nonlinear way of storytelling as you decide on your own pace and your own route through the city. By listening to the augmented stories during your walk, you’ll create your own city soundtrack. You’ll listen to different stories presented by different storytellers. The stories are found by the creators of this app during their historical research and with the help of the citizens of Gorizia and Museo della Grande Guerra.

To visualise the app the artists will create sound cards and put these as 'audio graffiti' in the city during the festival weekend where the visitor can listen to one of the stories related to the location of the card. The sound cards make a visible connection to the invisible and digital stories of Parla Gorizia.
